The Second Payment Services Directive required financial institutions to offer APIs for serving account information and payment initiation services. The goal is to promote innovation, competition, and the development of new financial services.
Opening APIs to Third Party Providers brings a big shift in banking and offers a great opportunity to collaborate with other companies and together expand the range of services and features offered to the customers.
Currently the regulatory PSD2 APIs are offered free of charge, and are available to all licensed developers.
Below a description of what is possible to achieve currently via our PSD2 APIs.
PSD2 Account Information Service API
Our PSD2 Account Information Service can be used for account and transaction information and allows a third-party provider (TPP) to present and process account and transaction data to Holvi's customers.
PSD2 Payment Initiation Service API
Our PSD2 Payment Initiation Service can be used for initiating SEPA payments and allows a third-party provider (TPP) to create and submit SEPA payments to Holvi.
Onboarding information
Using the Holvi PSD2 API requires end user authentication and authorization:
- Only registered third-party providers (TPP) can request for account information of a Payment Services User (PSU) through the PSD2 AIS API
- Customer consent is required in order to access their account information or in order to initiate payments.
