As of January 2024 the new Holvi Developer Portal will be available to all developers.
The portal is designed to provide a complete self-service support option and contains a knowledge base and a customer portal for support requests.
You can search for knowledge base articles to learn more about a topic, and if you can't find an answer, they can submit a support request.
Over the past few months the Holvi Developer team has been hard at work updating our Developer Portal with the following sections:
Data Transfer Service
Holvi offers various connections, which we refer to as Data Transfer Services.
Some of these interfaces are closed, meaning they are not available to individual customers but are instead reserved for specific partners, such as software companies.
The PSD interface is open and available to registered TPP (Third Party Provider) entities. The PSD interface allows access to our services but direct connection requires registration and approval as a TPP. With the introduction of the PSD2 directive, the European Union has established that third parties (TPPs) must meet certain regulatory and compliance standards before they can access interfaces provided by banks and payment institutions. This ensures that only reliable and regulated entities can access customer data and provide services to clients.
A secure, reliable and standardised channel for companies that work with various payment service providers connections and ledger softwares. Through this service, you can exchange payment transaction data between Holvi and your own software. You can receive account information from Holvi and send payment instructions to Holvi.
Delivery channels
Payment data is transmitted most efficiently as files through file transfer via an agreed delivery channel. We offer data transfer via RESTful web APIs, EBICS, and SFTP.
RESTful web APIs
Holvi provides exciting business opportunities for third-party software developers via a set of modern, RESTful web APIs. API solutions enable companies to establish a secure, real-time connection between their apps and the Holvi system.
PSD2 APIs
The Second Payment Services Directive was a substantial update to the regulation of payment services. Financial service providers must offer and open APIs for serving account information, payment initiation services, and confirming funds on a card. These services are available for free, promoting innovation, competition, and the development of new kinds of financial services.
EBICS
EBICS stands for Electronic Banking Internet Communication Standard and is widely used as a communication standard by financial institutions and their business customers.
SFTP
SFTP allows you to exchange data with Holvi using secure SFTP communication. The usage of SFTP needs to be integrated into your company’s business system to connect to the Holvi’s SFTP server.
Supported Formats by Standard
Holvi supports different standards and types of message formats for payment initiation or for allowing customers to reconcile their accounts and update balances.
SWIFT
Holvi supports SWIFT's MT 940 standard for payment initiation or allowing customers to reconcile their accounts and update balances.
ASCII
Holvi supports the KTO and KTL ASCII formats for allowing customers to reconcile their accounts.
ISO 20022
Holvi supports the most popular XML ISO 20022 messages formats for payment initiation or allowing customers to reconcile their accounts and update balances.
